LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!!

Today, June 24th, is my last day as a Sophmore at CHAMPS Charter High School.

This year has been fun, but I am pretty sure the Summer will be a good break.

Just remember 5 important things for summer
1.) wear sunsceen, LOTS of sunscreen
2.) go outside! we spent our whole year cooped up inside this little school, and we need to get out
3.) DO NOT think about next year! Trust me on this one, let the Summer happen. Don't wish your life away.
4.) be safe!
5.) relax and have fun! I'll see you next year!!

Field Day 2010

Every year, CHAMPS Charter High School's Student Council throw "Field Day." Field Day is our (CHAMPS') version of a Carnival. We may not have roller coaster rides, but we do have bounce houses, and this year we had a velcro wall. Student Council splits us up into teams based on our Period 4 Class, and every student enters a competition. I entered the Tug of War, and ... that's about it. But there were some kids who were a little sportier than me. Like Ashkan Hashimi, our New Media 1 mascot, who participated in 4 events.

There was a raffle, hot dogs brought by Carneys, and some kids from school Dj'ed. Not to mention the dunk tank, where students can pay $1 for 3 tries to drop a water balloon on their teacher. My friend Emma Rosenblatt was lucky enough to capture a photo, just as the water baloon was about to drop. There was even Student vs. Teacher Dodgeball, and thanks to Sophmore Trevor Wolfe, the students won this round.

Things I Find of Tumblr

I love Tumblr for several reasons. The first, is that it gives me a platform to express myself in a very free and artistic way. If you look at my April 26th blogpost, I posted a link to my Tumblr. Of course, like my blogpost, I haven't updated my Tumblr in a while. But, once this grueling script is over, I will be focused on my Tumblr one again.

Here are some cool things I found on Tumblr.

Yes, it's the iPhone 4...........

So, I am sure you have already heard the hype, but the iPhone 4 is coming out.

Whooopppsss, the iPhone 4 is ALREADY OUT!!! Yes, that's right, the you can now buy the iPone 4. But I am sure that is already sold out. So don't get your hopes up. The iPhone 4 is, as it should be, groundbreaking. Of course Apple always does something shocking, and this time they included Face Time.
Well, ill let the photos do the talking.

Youth Summer Summit 2010

Earlier in the year, I participated in a Confrence. The confrence, which took place here in LA, at the Hilton by the LAX. The Confrence brought together the YMCA's Youth and Government program, the Junior Statesmen of America, and the Chicano Latin Youth Program Leadership. We broke into teams, to discusss issues pressing our State and our Country. I personally was assigned to the Immigration Team. My team worked on ways to solve our States "Immigration Problem."

This program is the first of its kind in California. It really is groundbreaking, and I was so lucky to be a part of it.

Two Can Keep A Secret. If One of Them is Dead.

ABC Family aired a new show, titled Pretty Little Liars, which aired June 8th 2010.

I'll admit, the acting is not that great, but I think the plot line of the show is what draws in the audience. Not to mention the fashion on the show is some of the best on TV. The show is based on a book series written by Sara Shepard. Hopefully this show will last longer than 1 season.

So basically the show is centered around 4 best friends, who used to be 5 best friends, but the 5th girl, Allison, mysteriously disappeared one night while the girls were hanging out in the woods. That summer, the rest of the 4 girls fell apart, and started their own lives, with other friends. But when Allison's body is mysteriously discovered a year later, and the 4 girls begin to recieve mysterious text from a girl named "A."

That's how the show starts....and I guess we'll just have to wait to see how it ends. You should tune in sometime, the show is on Tuesday nights at 8/7 p.m. central.

It's Been A While

So.... I haven't done a blogpost since April. That's very depressing. I have been working on a script for a while now. And hopefully, next year, when I am in New Media 2 I will have already begun filming. So until then, my script will be tip-top-secret.

I used the celtix program, which I downloaded for free off the internet. It works great. I can write my script, make a story board, write character descriptions, and make footnotes for each scene that shows me what props and tools I will need. It's a neat little program.
