So over the weekend, my dad introduced me to my new favorite band. Cold War Kids. They are pretty legit. Actually the band is local, they come from Long Beach, CA.

My dad discovered the Cold War Kids on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic, which is probably one of the best music stations if you like bands like Florence + the Machine, or Duffy. The show samples up and coming artists.

Hey Guys!!! So....this week at CHAMPs is Spirit Week. Tuesday was Panther Day (show your schools spirit!!), Wednesday was Wild Wild West, and today is Nerd Day!!

And of course I dressed up! Duck-taped glasses and all!! <3 all, and send me pics of your nerdy-outfits please.

YouTube just launched a new tool called "Safety Push". Basically this tool eliminates anything non- age appropriate. Be it views or comments, its now blocked.

Some of us forget how out of control the internet can get. Honestly, I think this new feature is long over due, because the internet is open to anyone, even little kids. We must ALL be mindful of what we put on the internet.

Y&G - Sacramento 2010

Good Morning!!!
So I just wanted to share with you guys something exciting that happened to me this past weekend. This weekend I attended the 62nd YMCA Model Legislature & Court in Sacramento. For those of you that don't know much about the program, its basically as it sounds- Youth and Government.

While in Sacramento we essentially create our own state, with our own Constitution, laws, and Governor. Matty Fishkin, a student here at CHAMP's ran for Youth Governor, and made it to the top 5. Sadly, he did not make it to the finals. In one of the closest elections in Y & G history, Ameen Merchant pulled through and won the Governor Election.
